Resume

Anna Spray grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, where she spent the first 30 years of her life before relocating with her husband and two children to Geneva, Switzerland. The move marked a turning point in her life, sparking not only a change of place but also a change of direction.

Before moving abroad, Anna’s work focused on children. She has been a preschool teacher, a children’s minister in a church, and a preschool gymnastics teacher. These experiences shaped her ability to notice genuine emotion and quiet, in-between moments, which now inform her approach behind the camera.

Anna is currently completing her degree in Digital Media and Journalism at Penn State University. During her studies, she discovered a strong passion for photography and photojournalism, and is increasingly drawn toward documentary and storytelling photography.

She believes in the power of a single image to tell a story, reveal truth, and preserve the moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Through her work, Anna aims to create sincere, story-driven images that honor the people and experiences she photographs.
